ST GEORGE’S DAY FUN AT TWO NURSERIES

ST GEORGE'S DAY

Fish and chips will be on the menu at two nurseries when youngsters celebrate all that is English as part of St George’s Day.

The Bright Kids Nurseries in Crabbs Cross and Studley will be marking the patron saint of England’s special day with a host of activities.

Food is definitely a feature of the day, with youngsters from Crabbs Cross visiting a fish and chip shop. While in Studley the children will be trying traditional treats such as scones with jam and finishing the day with a fish and chip supper.

At both nurseries the youngsters will be getting into the mood by dressing in red and white and taking part in a range of activities.

Crabbs Cross nursery manager Anita Shepherd said: “There will be a range of craft activities for the children to get involved in, including decorating flags and shields.”

Studley’s deputy manager Tina Davis added: “The children will enjoy food tasting and making dragons and shields. They will also be learning all about St George and the story of how he slayed the dragon.”
