Our Investigators have shown a real love for insects lately, especially during their explorations in the woodland area 🌿 To extend this interest further, the children have been looking after their very own caterpillars.

They watched closely as the caterpillars grew, formed their chrysalis and finally emerged as the most beautiful butterflies! 🦋 The children loved drawing and painting pictures of them, and even got the very special chance to hold one before releasing it back into the wild.

Our Investigators buzzed with excitement celebrating World Bee Day 🐝

They explored their bee book to learn all about what bees need to stay healthy and why they are so important to our world 🌍 The children also practised their fine motor skills wrapping ribbon around pinecones, before adding their creations to our bee area! 🎀

Over on the art table, the painting was in full flow as the children created their very own bees - with lots of giggles along the way 🎨😄
