Recently we celebrate Mental Health Day ππ
Our Explorers enjoyed exploring their wellness playdough, which was infused with an array of herbal teas π΅ and natural resources with scattered reminders π€ Emotion bean bags and mirrors for the babies to engage with different emotions πβΉοΈand begin to recognise these for themselves using the mirror π
Our Discoverers created their own wellness station, which included a cucumber and lavender diffuser, while the tony box played wellness episodes.
Yoga π§ββοΈ all the children to engage in full body wellness πͺπΌ The colour monster πΉ story sensory bottles and gloves, the children sat and listened ππΌ to this well known story while they explored the sensory bottles and gloves π
Our Investigators explored healthy eating, the physical and emotional affects of exercise has on our bodies πͺπΌ looking after our mental health in practical ways, practicing positive affirmations and being kind to each other π«πΌ
On the day we had a morning snack tea party complete with flowers π cakes π§ and quote glasses that the children were able to take home with them a the end of the day π
Continual wellness check inβs, stations to explore emotions πβΉοΈ and reset when they needed refuelling.
Cosy corners with reminders of how loved we are β€οΈ
A tea time tea party, where we were able to speak π£οΈ with each other about what makes us happy πand what makes us sad π and how we deal with these emotions when they come.
For the staff we had an appreciation station, complete with a selection of teas βοΈ and coffees, cakes π° and sweets π as well as an appreciation wall where we could all leave messages for one another π
Swing ball, to bun off any frustrations. Our Investigators also joined in with this one and had a brilliant time. A cycling station so that we could step up for mental health. We also had facilities where staff could come for βtea and talkβ should they need to πππ
