Bright Kids Nursery in Studley is celebrating after being rated ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted Inspection.
Staff at the nursery, on The Slough, were delighted with the report, which praised the “well-qualified and experienced management team”, the “quality of teaching” and the nursery’s “robust child protection and safeguarding procedures.”
The overall emphasis was on how all children make good progress, from babies through to pre-school, are confident, settled and well supported by staff.
The report recognised that children’s personal development, behavior and welfare are good, stating: “Children make strong bonds and attachments with staff and their peers and demonstrate that they are happy and settled. Staff caring for babies know their routines and care needs well and follow them according to parents’ wishes. Children are well supported as they settle at nursery, change rooms and move on to school.”
It also praised the nursery’s outcomes for individual children, stating that: “All children make good progress from their starting points. Babies and toddlers are active and interested learners. Younger children quickly learn how to use spoons to feed themselves and enjoy taking part in activities, such as yoga and story time. Older children are independent and well motivated.”
Nursery Manager, Charmaine Leach, said: “We’re really pleased with the outcome. The inspector was particularly impressed with our safeguarding procedures, the standard of teaching and how settled and confident our children are.
“I’m very proud of my team and this inspection recognises the hard work and dedication of our staff in promoting the well-being of our children and motivating them in their learning.”
Bright Kids Studley offers childcare for children aged from six weeks up to five years. It also offers before and after school care and holiday club for children aged from four to 12 years.
