Pet project for Bright Kids Nursery in Studley

petThere will be some furry fun taking place at a Studley nursery when children enjoy a week of pet animals ranging from hens to hamsters.

Youngsters at the Bright Kids Nursery on The Slough, Studley will be welcoming a speaker from the Blue Cross charity, who will talk about pets and how to look after them.

During the event, which takes place from April 29th to May 5th, children will be encouraged to bring in their own pets, or photos of the animals they have at home so they can talk to their friends about how they care for them.

The nursery’s deputy manager Tina Davis said she has a broody hen at home and some eggs which are ready to hatch – and she hopes to be able to show them to the children.

“This is the first time we’ve done an event like this but we thought it would be good to talk to the children about their pets, and how to look after them,” she said.

“We look forward to welcoming the speaker from the Blue Cross, and seeing some new animals.”
