Eighteenth Birthday Celebrations for Studley Nursery

Celebrations won’t end in January at one Studley Nursery as staff and children prepare to mark the setting’s eighteenth birthday. Some of the festive decorations will stay up in preparation for the event – on the 18th of January, when a party will be held to celebrate the occasion. Since January 1999 the nursery has provided the community in south Warwickshire with top-notch, childcare set in over an acre of land. Manager Charmaine Leach said they are looking forward to celebrating the nursery’s successes. She said: “The fact that we have been going so long is a testament to the hard work of the staff that have been involved since the beginning. We have built up a solid reputation as not only a happy, friendly nursery but one where the children can learn and grow in a creative environment with a range of rich learning experiences.”

Charmaine added: “We are privileged to be based on a site which has over an acre of land – this provides the children with facilities that are hard to come by at other nurseries.” The facilities at the Studley setting include an outdoor classroom, bicycle track, gardening areas, fixed climbing equipment as well as indoor and outdoor sand and water play. “The children enjoy Forestry School which is run on-site by a trained Forest School Leader who talks to the children about the natural world – showing and teaching them things that can’t be easily learned in the classroom,” said Charmaine. “Also, children have some excellent facilities indoors, including a 5* rated kitchen serving delicious and nutritious hot lunches.”

The rooms at the Studley setting are divided up to ensure each age group is receiving the right educational experiences and childcare, starting from the Little Stars who join them from six weeks old to the Super Novas in the Out of School Club that stay with them until they are 12 years old. Charmaine added: “Over the last 18 years the staff at our nursery have seen hundreds of wonderful children learn, grow and blossom while they have been based here. The nursery has helped to give them a fantastic start to ensure they not only progress well at school, but that they hopefully look back on their childhood with very fond memories.”
