Easter bonnet parade at Crabbs Cross

Easter bonnet paradeEaster egg-citement filled a Redditch nursery as youngsters proudly showed off their hard work in a beautiful Easter bonnet parade.

Children at the Bright Kids nursery in Crabbs Cross had the chance to win a selection of chocolate eggs if they were chosen as the winner of the Easter bonnet competition.

For the last week youngsters have been making their own bonnets and at the parade it was up to the parents to judge the winner.

Nursery deputy manager Lorraine Ashford said they were impressed with the effort the children had made.

The children have put a lot of their creative skills into action this week and we had a lovely selection of hats made from yellow card and decorated with sparkles, chicks and sequins,” she said.

Every child that took part received a chocolate bunny lollipop and the winner received a selection of Easter eggs. They all had fun and enjoyed showing the parents what they had made, and talking about how they had decorated their bonnet.

They also enjoyed the morning’s activity which was drawing daffodils. I think it has got all of us in the mood for Easter.”
