A Christmas Bazaar proved to be a cracker of an event as parents, staff and children enjoyed a range of festive treats. The event on Saturday at the Bright Kids setting in Crabbs Cross saw Father Christmas welcoming guests into his grotto. There were also a whole host of exciting games and refreshments, which included hot pork baps and mulled wine. The bazaar was a way for the nursery to kick start it’s Christmas celebrations as there is the Our Sunbeams Christmas Party on December 7th, Our Little Stars on December 8th and Our Shining Lights on December 9th.

Manager of the nursery, Anita Shepherd, said everyone had a lovely time at the bazaar. “It went really well and it was great to get everyone together for a big celebration,” she said. “We had parents and grandparents come along and take part in the activities and enjoy the stalls, which included a special chocolate tombola and raffle where the top prize was £25. The children loved having the chance to meet Santa and to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.”

Visitors were able to buy some delicious treats from the cake stall, and even have a go themselves on the Family Bake a Cake stand. At the end of the day parents were able to collect their child’s tea towel, each one with a design on created by the children. Anita added: “The staff worked hard to put on a lovely day for everyone and it was enjoyed by all. “The raffle saw people leaving with a hamper of goodies and a selection of wine – so they are all set up for their own Christmas celebrations.”
