Bright Kids Crabbs Cross Celebrates Another ‘Good’ Report

Bright Kids Nursery in Crabbs Cross is celebrating after being rated ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted Inspection.

The nursery, on Evesham Road, celebrated its 16th birthday earlier this month, with the news that it had received another ‘Good’ rating coming just weeks before.

Staff at the nursery were delighted with the report, which praised the “well-qualified team’s understanding of how children learn and develop” and the nursery’s “bright, stimulating and well resourced” environment.

The report observed that: “Children are happy and confident in the nursery environment. They are cared for by kind, caring staff who get to know them very well, helping to promote their emotional well-being.

“Parents spoken to on the day of inspection are extremely happy with the nursery. They say the staff are wonderful and really get to know their children well. Staff build strong partnerships with local schools and share information which helps to promote continuity of care between the settings.

“Children’s behaviour is good. From an early age they learn about sharing and taking turns. Staff use frequent praise and encouragement to reward children for their achievements.”

Nursery Manager, Anita Shepherd, said: “What a great birthday present! We’re really pleased with the outcome. The inspector was particularly impressed with our environments, both indoors and outdoors. The staff were also highly praised for their awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures.

“Our use of Tapestry, an online communication resource between us and parents, was also highlighted. We can upload what the children are doing at nursery and parents can share things from home too. If there is something a child particularly enjoys at home, we can bring that into nursery and vice versa. It is used in many first schools and using it in nursery, we feel, helps to ease that transition for parents too.

“I’m very proud of my team and this inspection recognises the hard work and dedication of our staff in promoting the well-being of our children and motivating them in their learning.”

Bright Kids Crabbs Cross offers childcare for children aged from six weeks up to five years. It also offers before and after school care and holiday club for children aged from four to 12 years.
