SPOOKY GUESTS VISIT BRIGHT KIDS HOLIDAY CLUB
Bright Kids at Studley was privileged to have some very spooky guests attend their Halloween Holiday Cub. Animal Mania brought a selection of weird & wonderful animals for the children to meet.
Emma Beech, Club Co-ordinator said, "It was a wonderful experience for the children to get up close & handle unusual animals such as a sugar glider, corn snake, chinchilla, bearded dragon & a giant rabbit"
The children had a spooky spectacular week with lots of Halloween activities including an end of week Halloween Party & the creation of a Spooky Halloween Den

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS
Bright Kids at Studley celebrated Diwali the Hindu Festival of Light on 26 October 2011. The staff and children went to great endeavours wearing traditional Indian dress, sampling delicious Indian cuisine and joining together for some Bollywood dancing
Other activities involved Mehndi Patterns painted onto the children's hands & colourful Rangoli Patterns made with coloured sand.
Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, is the most popular of all the festivals from South Asia. The festival of Diwali extends over five days. Because of the lights, fireworks and sweets involved, it's a great favourite with children. The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance, although the actual legends that go with the festival are different in different parts of India.

BRIGHT KIDS BIRTHDAY BASH
Bright Kids Nursery at Crabbs Cross have been celebrating their 10th Birthday in providing high quality childcare on 2 September at 14:00. Parents, children and staff all came together to celebrate the birthday by holding an Animal Fun afternoon. Mayor Anita Clayton joined in the fun by cutting into the cake starting off the celebrations. Professor Pepperpot provided children with fun animal balloons whilst Pets at Home gave the children an opportunity to experience interacting with a variety of animals.
The children have been involved in making animal masks, and joining in animal rhymes throughout the week leading up to the party. Anita Shepherd Manager said "It was wonderful to celebrate the success of the nursery with parents old and new who have supported us over the last 10 years because we provide a service that is family orientated, of an exceptionally high quality and dedicated to supporting children's individual needs and interests."

BRIGHT KIDS MOVING ON
Bright Kids Nursery at Crabbs Cross held a 'Graduation' ceremony on 22nd July 2011 for pre-school children moving on into Reception. Children received a unique certificate and leaving gift. The celebration was well attended by parents and everyone enjoyed Professor PepperPot's magic show and balloon modelling. Deputy Manager Tina Davis said "The graduation ceremony brought a tear to our eyes as we said goodbye to children who we have nurtured and seen grow and develop to their full potential."

BRIGHT STARS AT BRIGHT KIDS
Bright Kids at Northfield are celebrating the success of their graduating Class of 2011 with a prestigious ceremony on Wednesday 20th July 2011 at the nursery on Norman Rd at 2pm.
The children will receive unique Graduation Certificates and a small gift to commemorate their time at Bright Kids Northfield. The ceremony will be attended by parents and grandparents and followed by a banquet lunch and a disco to finish. Debbie Griffith, Deputy Manager said "We are proud of the close relationship we have with children and families and will miss them but hope they come back to our After School Club to tell us about their new friends, teachers and adventures".

VICTORIAN GARDEN PARTY
Bright Kids at Studley hosted a Victorian Garden Party for the GRAND opening of their gardens and outdoor play area on Tuesday 26 July. Local children's author Meg Harper presided over the ribbon cutting ceremony and children were enthralled by her story telling, which was followed by a creative workshop, face painting and refreshments which was open to the community.
Since being under new management at Studley, Bright Kids have made significant changes and improvements to the outdoor environment. New Manager Joe Poole said "We are so excited about the improved outdoor environment and the new learning opportunities the unique areas will offer the children."

BRIGHT KIDS BUILDING OUR FUTURE
Bright Kids at Studley have provided a unique insight into the skills of the building trade by supporting children's keen interest in the extensive development of the outdoor play and garden area. Children were given the hands on experience and opportunity of working with real tools in the development.
Since being under new management at Studley, Bright Kids have made significant changes and improvements to the outdoor environment. New Manager Joe Poole said "We recognise the need to enhance our facilities and provide a range of experiences for children including a sensory garden, friendship hut, vehicle track and allotment and this will support good outcomes for children".
Bright Kids are planning "Grand Opening" of the gardens on Tuesday 26 July at 10:00 which will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and storytelling workshop by children's author Meg Harper which is open to the community.

GRAND OPENING AFTER HORRIFIC CRASH
Bright Kids at Crabbs Cross are delighted to be reopening the School Room after the horrific car crash into the building on 2 June 2011. Mayor and Consort of the Borough of Redditch - Councillor Anita Clayton & Councillor Brandon Clayton will be presiding over the ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday 28 June at 10:00am along with parents of children at the nursery.
Anita Shepherd, Nursery Manager said "We have used the upsetting events to inspire children's learning in building and construction and created a role play area with real bricks, building materials and tools". She explained that by focusing on the children's interest and curiosity about the building works the nursery has been able to move positively forward after the accident and ensure the emotional well being of the children at the setting.
