Welcome to Bright Kids Nurseries After School Club at The Harry Taylor First School, based in Crabbs Cross, Redditch. This site is our second childcare partnership with a school under the Extended Schools Agenda and is opening in April 2010. With many of the school's facilities available to us including the large hall and spacious outdoor areas this newly formed partnership will support the needs of not only the children at this school but other schools in the area. This club can take children from age 5 up to 12 years.
The Harry Taylor First School has been looking for a partner organisation to provide Extended Schools provision for their pupils within the school premises. Bright Kids had already been developing close partnership working for children within the Early Years age group and this new club is an extension of this work.
In a recent visit by the early years foundation stage children Kate Armstrong, Deputy Head Teacher and Foundation Stage Co-ordinator said she is thrilled that both settings are working closely together to extend the learning opportunities for all children. Working in partnership with Bright Kids, Crabbs Cross is a valuable asset to The Harry Taylor First School We are sharing the strengths of each setting to provide exciting opportunities for the children to learn together.
It is an important part of our community cohesion work. Our joint Forest School morning has allowed the children to develop independence and make new friends. We also look forward to developing our links with all our feeder settings."
The After School Club will primarily serve the children from this school and will provide places for children from other local schools subject to places being available. Bright Kids collects from a range of schools in Worcestershire including Mount Carmel RC First School, St Bede's Middle School and Ridgeway Middle School.
Other schools such as Astwood Bank & Feckenham First School are served from other Bright Kids Clubs based in Warwickshire.
Bright Kids feel the links forged with the school will provide the best opportunities for the children in the early years age group to progress onto school and to offer continuity of care during this major transition in their lives.
The Club is open from 3:10pm - 6:00pm and flexible days for care can be arranged if required. Visits are welcomed at any time during our opening hours.
During the School Holidays children are able to attend the nearby Bright Kids At Crabbs Cross Holiday Club, which also has a Breakfast Club for those that require care out of school / wraparound care before the school day
To arrange a visit please call Steph or Anita, our Managers at the Crabbs Cross Nursery who will be able to arrange this.
Ofsted registered, The site has been fully approved to take children under the Childcare Register Regulations. When completed the report will be available to view on our Parents Forms page.
