Staff and children at Bright Kids Studley will be taking part in a festive fund-raiser this Friday.

The nursery, based on The Slough, will be supporting Myton Hospice’s Wear A Santa Suit To Work initiative on December 19th, with manager Tina Davis and her team donning father Christmas outfits to help raise vital funds for the Warwick-based hospice.

Youngsters attending the nursery are being invited to wear something suitably festive and make a donation to help show their support too.

Tina said: “The hospice is a very worthy cause and requires constant fund-raising to help it provide its services ensuring that the final months and weeks of its patients are as positive as they can be. The hospice team helps patients and their families deal with symptoms and emotional distress in order to spend as much time as possible living life to the full.

“Delivering that service comes at a cost, and we loved the idea of tapping into Christmas cheer to remind people that this isn’t always a jolly time of year for others with a little festive fund-raising.  Our Bright Kids team will be wearing Santa suits and making donations, and we’ve let parents know about our plans and hope that the children will join in the fun. We’ll also be holding a cake sale at the nursery during the day to boost the grand total.
